Bal Cafe in Shiraz offers a cozy spot that fits well into the relaxed mornings and laid-back afternoons of District 1, especially for those familiar with the rhythm of local café culture. Situated near Afif Abad Garden, it serves as a quiet retreat for people wanting a casual place to enjoy a coffee, catch up on work, or meet friends without the rush of bigger city hubs.

The atmosphere leans towards casual and unpretentious, with a mix of familiar chain café consistency and touches that cater to regional tastes. You'll find a solid menu that shines in breakfast and brunch options, like a range of Persian-style omelettes and international-inspired dishes such as beef creme pesto pasta or penne Alfredo. The café also balances traditional flavors with more playful drinks, including an iced latte or a violet flowers drink for something a bit different in the hot climate.

Visitors tend to come either for a quiet morning coffee or for longer stays during weekends and holidays, when groups gather comfortably without feeling cramped. The staff generally keeps the mood friendly and easy, fitting the relaxed vibe of the surrounding neighborhood. While the café's selection of pastries can feel limited at times, their coffee—whether a mocha, espresso milkshake, or cold brewed coffee—usually meets expectations for quality and decent preparation.

Bal Cafe is best suited for locals and travelers who appreciate a café where they can settle in for a while, whether to work, chat, or simply enjoy a casual breakfast. Early mornings or the calm hours after lunch tend to be the most inviting times to visit, when the pace is slower and the atmosphere more conducive to lingering. It may not offer an extensive pastry showcase, but its focus on a balanced combination of Persian breakfast items and international café staples makes it a comfortable and dependable choice in this part of Shiraz.

Balkafe is a chain of cafes with excellent quality. I last visited in Tehran and the quality was excellent. Now it has a branch in Shiraz, which I tested there as well. Very high quality and specialized.

It's a small, cozy Café very close to the Afif Abad garden in Shiraz. The Mocha I had was very nice and the service was fine. The cake was relatively stale, and they did not have very many options of pastries, and most of the ones in the menu were unavailable. Still, it was pretty cool.

Stopped by to have a morning coffee. Coffee was good. I wish the cinnamon roll was a bit warm. Casual mood and relaxed place.

The food was delicious. It's a small café. In the rain there's no option but to stay inside. The outdoor heating is not enough The tables weren't clean. There were sticky. After hearing me complaining about the table the staff cleaned it, but it was still sticky. It definitely needed more than a wet wipe.
